Again many kilometres for the F10 on the fourth day of testing at the Circuito Permanente de Velocidad" in Jerez in Andalusia. After a start on wet tarmac already in the late morning the situation improved and the ten drivers present at the track could finally use the slicks. Today it was again Felipe Massa behind the wheel to push ahead the F10’s development.
Ferrari's Felipe Massa remains on the top at the day 2 testing in Valencia, Brazilian completed total of 124 laps to give his best time of 1.11.722s. It was a busy day for all the teams, with all the drivers completing more than 100 laps except BMW Sauber's Kobayashi (96). The Japanese rookie was second fastest having posted his best time of 1.12.056.
Today the Force India Formula One Team and principal sponsors, Whyte & Mackay, confirmed that Paul di Resta will be the team's test and reserve driver for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship. The news was announced at a press conference held at Whyte & Mackay's Glasgow headquarters in Paul's native Scotland.
Felipe Massa was the fastest driver on the track on the first day of testing at the Cheste circuit, just outside Valencia. The Brazilian drove the fastest lap in the last minutes of the session, while he had been leading the time sheet with his lap times before. Pedro de la Rosa was second fastest, while Michael Schumacher on his return set an mpressive time of 1:12.947, more than half a second fastest than his team mate Nico Rosberg.Schumacher ended his day being third fastest.
Nico Rosberg who tested the Mercedes GP W01 for 39 laps around the Valencia circuit seemed to be happy and optimistic about the car. Nico Rosberg now hands the car to Michael Schumacher who returns to Formula 1 after retiring after the 2006 season.
